About
This Is Love is a socially aware working band with specific goals and objectives geared towards composition of a variety of musical styles such as Folk and Soft Rock located in Ontario Canada. Song lyrics are written based on life experiences in a positive form and the instrumental music purposely furthers the expression of intent and song meaning. The band is comprised of a variety of skill and talent ranging from intermediate to advanced however each band member is a significant contributor to the outcome of every musical piece. The culture is of a highly supportive and collaborative nature encouraging input and ideas from all band members on all things related to the band. Multiple works are in progress including over 20 pre-written music guitar pieces, over 40 lyrical works as well as development of new songs which contribute to specific albums under development. Proceeds from completed works or events benefit various targeted charities & support organizations such as Kids Help Phone, Autism Ontario, Walk to End ALS, local Food Banks, Choices and other. We follow a motto of “Simple Acts Of Kindness” as a guide to our activities, musical style and overall purpose. Kids Help Phone
Kids Help Phone is a Canadian charitable organization that provides online and telephone counselling and volunteer-led, text-based support in English and French to youth across Canada. Kids Help Phone also provides information on how to access community support services for youth.
Autism Ontario
Autism Ontario, a charitable organization, for over 49 years have represented thousands of people on the autism spectrum as well as their families across the province of Ontario. Autism Ontario is made up of parents, professionals, and autistic self advocates who speak to the issues that can impact autistic individuals and their families.
Food Bank
Food Banks Canada provides national leadership to relieve hunger today and prevent hunger tomorrow in collaboration with the food bank network in Canada.
Choices
Choices is a recognized leader in providing supports and services for people with developmental disabilities including those with behavioural challenges. We ensure that the people we support have opportunities to live and participate in their communities by providing effective individualized supports delivered in an innovative, safe and accountable manner.
Walk To End ALS
In 2024, almost $14 Million was raised from the Province of Ontario to directly benefit Ontario ALS Clinics and ALS Canada's Equipment Program. These funds will create a better future for ALS families, and save money for all Ontarians. Please continue to raise awareness and funds for ALS Canada.
